Cindy LaPorte has always been a dog lover and has been training her own dogs since 1981. The first dogs Cindy trained were a Toy Poodle and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Along the way, Cindy rescued an Afghan Hound whose behavioral issues brought Cindy to Positive Reinforcement training and all its possibilities.

Cindy currently competes with a Miniature Poodle as well as an up and coming Standard Poodle.  She has competed  in Conformation, Agility, Rally, Nose Work, Barn Hunt, Lure Coursing, and Competition Obedience. Cindy has been a student at Tails-U-Win!, LLC since 1991 and an instructor at Tails since 2003. She is also an AKC CGC and Trick Dog evaluator.

Cindy also worked full time for 29 years as a veterinary technician and part time as a groomer. We at Tails-U-Win! have come to count on Cindy as the Assistant Director of Training and an instructor whose smile, patience and positive outlook never quit.
